AvtoVAZ says August car sales fall by 4% to 28,836 vehicles

MOSCOW, Sep 2 (PRIME) – The sales of Lada cars of Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ fell by 3.9% on the year to 28,836 in August, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Lada has summarized the sales results for August 2020. In August, 28,836 cars were sold, including Lada Niva cars and 215 Nivas before rebranding,” the statement read.

“The previous month demonstrated relatively slow dynamics caused by the vacation period that was delayed to the end of summer this year due to obvious reasons. Nevertheless, Lada sales were comparable with previous August.”
